Build performance simulation environments for current and future standards based
physical layer transmission systems. Design and develop DTV receiver algorithms
including automatic gain control (AGC), filtering, equalization, channel
estimation, timing recovery, carrier recovery, and compensation of RF/analog
circuit impairments. Innovate to create state of the art solution to minimize
power consumption and optimize next generation tuner/demodulator architecture.
Work closely with other engineers and with marketing to develop new products.
- Experience in DTV engineering or a related field with emphasis on communication
theory and signal processing. A BSEE with 5+ years of related experience or an
MSEE degree with 3+ years of related experience is required.
- Signal processing algorithm development including one or more of the
following: Filtering, equalization, channel estimation, timing recovery,
carrier recovery, FEC (including Reed-Solomon, BCH, convolutional codes, turbo
codes, or LDPC codes).
- Programming experience in C/C++ and Matlab is required.
- OFDM, QAM or similar receiver experience is required.
- Experience in RF communication channel.
- Applicant must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
- Experience with VLSI micro-architecture development and experience with bit
accurate and cycle accurate verification models for RTL and performance
estimation a plus.
- ASIC design experience is a plus.
- Chinese (Mandarin) language skills are a plus
