In addition to silicon ICs, Microtune also offers modular subsystems solutions. We work with high-volume manufacturing subcontractors whose extended manufacturing services enable us to produce cost-optimized, quality-driven RF module subsystems for our customers.

In addition to adhering to internal quality assurance policies and procedures, Microtune rigorously tests and qualifies our products before releasing them to mass production. Our Design Center for Excellence is equipped with best-of-breed test equipment and industry-leading engineering talent to develop the necessary test programs for production, qualification, and characterization. Microtune supplies products for the cable TV, automotive in-vehicle entertainment, and digital television markets. As a result, we offer compliance to current industry, manufacturing and qualification standards and we require that our contract manufacturers adhere to these standards as well. Our broad compliance is particularly important in the automotive market, which has rigorous specifications.

Standards compliance includes:

• AEC-Q100 automotive qualification for silicon products
• Manufacturing certified according to TS-16949, ISO-9001, and ISO-14001

As a high-volume supplier of silicon devices, Microtune takes its responsibility as an industry leader seriously. In addition to providing RoHS-compliant packaging across the entire silicon tuner product families, Microtune also supports other environmental initiatives:

• Lead-free packaging
• Free of Ozone depleting substances
• Free of Halogen (Bromine & Chlorine)
• Compliant to JEDEC STD JIG-101 which is compliant with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency's 40 C.F.R. Section 82, which:
• Prohibits, restricts, or requires labeling of 15 substances
• Requires disclosure if any of 9 additional substances are used.
• Compliant with R.E.A.C.H., which lists 16 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).

Microtune is also committed to a policy of energy conservation, recycle/reuse, and responsible environmental/manufacturing practices. We were an early and aggressive supporter of 'green' initiatives and we have worked closely with our subcontractors to assure compliance with industry regulations that promote a cleaner and healthier environment.
